Volunteering with Redditch Nightstop!
We welcome all kinds of people to volunteer with us. Age restrictions vary depending on the role although all volunteers must be over the age of 16.
We have various volunteering opportunities available to support us in preventing youth homelessness and providing support to vulnerable adults in our local community. These opportunities are listed below.

Do you want to help Redditch Nightstop grow and develop the services we provide to clients?
Our Management Committee members gain great satisfaction from the fact that their organisation stands for a worthwhile cause and that they are able to make a difference by making sure it meets the needs of its members and the community. They also enjoy seeing the organisation they manage develop.
You will have a commitment to Redditch Nightstop and be able to regularly devote some time to us each month. You will have the ability to think creatively and strategically; have good independent judgment.
Your skills might include public relations, marketing, health and safety issues…
Time commitment: you will be required to attend a minimum of 6 meetings per year, plus allow time for preparation prior to meetings by way of reading relevant reports and papers.

Can you help keep a young person safe for one night? Nightstop Hosts provide a warm, safe place for a client who finds themselves homeless.

The Friends will be run by a small committee, permanently chaired by a member of Redditch Nightstop’s Management Committee and under the governance of the Project Manager and Management Committee.
The Friends will hold its own Fundraising events and also support third parties in their fundraising events.
The Friends will represent Redditch Nightstop at various events around the town and help raise public awareness of the organisation.
The Friends will be circulated with details of volunteering opportunities in supporting Nightstop in its day to day functions. These may require further training and a DBS check.

Join our team of Volunteer Drivers to help transport a client to Host families who are offering a bed for the night.
Other duties might include transporting the client back to the office the following day and ad hoc driving duties required to support the service.
Volunteer Drivers must be over 21 and hold a current driving licence for a minimum of two years. You must have access to your own fully insured vehicle with a valid MOT certificate and insurance.
Time commitment is as and when required.
Trained Volunteer position (must have BACP qualification) who can empathise and have an understanding of the issues facing our clients and the risk of homelessness.
Time commitment could be up to 4 hours a month.
To provide administrative support to Redditch Nightstop’s general running of the office. Duties will include answering the phone, greeting visitors, helping with food parcels and general administration duties.
This role will suit someone who is self motivated, but can work as part of a team. Time commitment can be as little as 3 hours per week.
