During the month of May 2018 Redditch Nightstop provided 172 bed nights for local young people in the Redditch district. Without Redditch Nightstop these young people might have been accommodated outside their area in hostel accommodation. Some would have potentially found themselves street homeless as they may not have been owed a statutory duty. Supported lodgings and emergency bed nights were provided for a total of twenty one young people during May. Redditch Nighstop manager Susan Sadler praised the organisation saying “the response from the service and the hosts is very efficient, resulting in young people knowing that they will be accommodated within two hours of presentation to our service. We could not do this without the flexible nature of our hosts and skilled staff, who provide this vital service to our community”.
