Who We Are

Set Up in 1997

Redditch Nightstop is a voluntary organisation which, since it was set up in 1997, has evolved from its original main function as emergency overnight accommodation for 16-25 year olds to a wide-ranging service for young people who may be at risk of homelessness in the Redditch area.

Floating Support

Nightstop also provide Floating support, where a staff member provides support to the young person in their own home, assisting the young person to maintain their tenancy. The young person is also encouraged to engage in community activities and activities organised my Nightstop.

Supporting Families To Prevent Homelessness

Nightstop has several other areas of activity as well the provision of overnight accommodation such as mediation, where Nightstop volunteers work with families to try to ensure that youngsters are able to stay within the family home.

Expansion into the wider community

Nightstop also run an education programme which includes active group sessions within mainstream schools, Pupil referral Units and other youth settings across the county of Worcestershire. The aim of the education programme is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be able to prevent themselves from becoming homeless, or in the event of this happening to be able to access support.
